Madge S. Thorsen
Madge S. Thorsen’s commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation practices have been sophisticated and eclectic. She represented parties against the Government of Iran before the U.S.-Iran Claims Tribunal in The Hague. She served as products liability defense counsel in the Copper 7, Dalkon Shield, Shiley valve, heparin, DES, and lead litigation. She has experience with complex business litigation, from untangling a complex mezzanine financing deal to pursuing trade secret theft cases to representing small businesses and corporate shareholders. She served as "outside in-house counsel" to a mountain real estate developer advising it on intellectual property, insurance bad faith, property damage claims, golf course management and contract issues as well as handling crisis management. As an arbitrator, she has handled medical products cases, financial, commercial and business disputes, construction claims, franchise matters, and consumer claims. She is a qualified mediator and serves in special education disputes, construction claims, commercial cases, partnership dissolutions, and all manner of general disputes involving parties big and small.
